I have been waiting over a year for Hotspot to send me promised parts to make the readout function correctly, so I guess they are never coming. This is after many calls and texts and they keep promising to send them. The unit does work most of the time but apparently there is a valve inside that sticks when you really need it the most. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, appearing to be put together from several different units. The remote control is also from some other mini split with a Hotspot sticker on it and not all functions on the remote work. I cannot recommend this air conditioner, especially now that there are improved models from other companies on the market.

Very good experience overall with practical peppers. Love the YouTube videos that that corresponds to this install. A few comments on the product itself; pretty straight forward install, though the users manual seems to be a few different ones pasted together (this is where the videos help). This brings up my second small issue. I have it only connected to solar and in the morning when the “power” comes back on it will beep. This will then use enough power to cycle the unit off. This will continue until there is enough light to keep it on full time. I’ve searched the manual and can’t find where to disable the beeping upon startup (or at all times for that matter). Both of these are minor and easily remedied by switching off before sundown and simply messing with the controls to learn about it. Will try to update review once heating season has commenced.

You did great, the delayed shipping did set me back. Now I’m waiting linset charging. We need a simple solution for charging a 25′ linset.

I totally believe this is the way to go. I have everything ready to fire up as soon as the AC man can come evacuate the line set and fill it with the proper R410a. I would do it myself however to purchase r410a they want you EPA cert. I think everyone in Florida should have one of these , get it asap before someone changes the law and wont let you.
